The Omani rial (code: OMR) is the official currency of the Sultanate of Oman. This currency has been issued by the Central Bank of Oman since 1977. The Omani rial is the fourth most overvalued currency in the world along with the Kuwaiti dinar, the Bahraini dinar and the old Maltese lira.
